I'm soooo close to dropping the dough on one of these! What is the main difference between the two? It seems like most of you guys are opting for the LSH. Why?

the hd's use a new process for applying the phospher, and as a result tend to be *slightly* brighter. also, the pattern from the hd will travel farther than the ld, so it is better for shooting things a little further away. the hd will produce a kind of *squarish* beam, whereas with the ld, the beam will be pretty much round.
Here is a comparison between what is essentially an LSL (or LS1) and an LSH (or SLS2 squarish hot-spot, whiter beam)
