LED Flashlight Addiction

After getting into led lights about 3 years ago, like all addicts I find myself
in a difficult predicament. :sigh:

I started off with the "lighter" stuff and would get a huge high each time
one would arrive at my doorstep which would last for a few months at a
time before I came back down and needed another one for a new fix.

However as time has progressed, I have found myself migrating more and
more to the really "heavy" stuff. Now only McGizmo and Ti lights can give
me the same rush and instead of months in between I can only wait for
a few weeks.

So what can I do? I will have to work continously without sleep to maintain
this - it may even drive me to crime and I may get in with the wrong crowds.

Desperately trying to find a FA in my area but none seem to exist
(Flashaholics Anonymous) :sssh:

Any suggestions will be welcome except giving away my collection :twak:

Hummm, you don't want to give away your collection. The sell most of them and runaway into the hills for a decade or two. Then come back and you might be excited by the new stuff.

But then you'll need lights in the hills, it gets dark there. Hummm, then bring you whole collection with you and a bunch of batteries. A few year of playing with aging lights sound really fun.

Back to reality, blocking CPF might work.

Good Luck!

if you do some serious online reading of the current geopolitical situation you might be selling your Ti for Au and Ag in a hurry

Go to walmart and by a energizer (I believe) widebeam 2 d flashlight. Also a Everbright 2AA model. You should spend less than $20 with tax and batteries. Use these lights exclusively for 1 week. You old McGizmo stuff should seem REALLLY COOL again.:candle:

Sounds like you might have to increase your dosage - perhaps mainline: run up your credit card and make minimum payments.

You may get in with the wrong crowds? You mean like other people that might encourage your unhealthy flashlight spending? Now, where the heck would you find people like that?

As far as I'm concerned, if you're making a post like this, YOU'RE the wrong crowd, EasilyLED. It's posts like yours that enable me! *"Hey, look at that guy, he's got MAJOR flashlight spending problems. I guess, I'm no so out of control after all. I guess, buying another expensive flashlight is actually NORMAL! Yeah, that's it!" Posts like yours are like butter on my wallet -- they make it easier for me to slide it out of my pocket.

if I don't cool it with the lights. It's getting harder and harder to come up with creative(sneaky) ways to get new lights.

You think you've got it bad... the rush for me only lasts a few days now... I'm thinking a heroine addiction would be cheaper.:sigh:

One light to rule them all. One light to find them. One light to bring them all , and in the darkness shine them.

And it just happens to be gold in colour.

You know that would make a good moto for CPF.

One light to rule them all.
One place to find them.
One light to bring them all
-and in the darkness shine them.

Wouldn't mainlining be, changing what your employer has as your bank details, into McGizmo's bank details?.

HAHAHAHAHAH that's when rehab is needed

Quickly look up FT in the phone directory and make an appointment (flashaholic therapist).
