Modifying a Surefire U2?

I know this has been discussed in another thread, but I could not find it. Has anyone been able to modify a Surefire U2 with a Cree or Seoul emitter yet?

I think there may be an issue with the U2's electronics?

For Cree there is too much voltage.
Somebody here modded U2 with Seoul led. You need to use search engine.
Personally I replaced emitter with WW0S premium bin in my U2.
It is not worth to destroy such a great light with dremel tool.
If you want Cree or SSC buy cheap chinese light. Don't destroy U2.
