Cree tint variation

Planning to order my first Cree drop-in.

Was wondering how much tint variation there is among Cree emitters.

My experience is that Lux I has the most variation (some emitters even giving off bile green "white" light), while the Lux III and V only seem to have slight tint variation (at least in my collection).

Do the Cree emitters have noticable tint variation, or has this problem been solved lately?

I have Crees from various manufacturers and the majority of them are violet in color. The L1D CE I have has a slight greenish tint but is only noticeable after staring at the other Cree lights.

Violet, if minor I don't mind.

I have an L2 with slight pink tinting.

My pet peeve are violent green tints--I hate it when the beam tint reminds one of nasty internal bodily fluids.

I'm seeing the same variations as we had in Lux lights, though not to the same degree. I've had Crees that were pinkish, greenish, warm white and cool white. But overall, they are all pretty "white", and the differences are most apparent when viewing them side by side.
