Does anyone know, if hard anodize is in any way bad for the health?

Reason is, i scratched the anodize on one of my fenix' with a screewdriver, which made small dust-clouds. I seem to inhaled some of that stuff because i had to cough in the process.

it's not toxic or anything, but inhaling small particles of anything can cause some inconvenience with breathing, and your eyes won't like it much either if it got in there.

Aluminum oxide is one of the most prevalent materials in the earth's dirt, which you'll eat a peck of in your lifetime, so it can hardly be called hazardous. But if you were to breathe high concentrations of dirt night and day, with or without aluminum oxide in it, it would be very bad for you.

Ok, thanks guys... as long as hard-anodize is really only aluminum-oxyde, it should be harmless.
