Should I lube any part of my new X1 and if so where and how and what should I use?

Thanks

Yes you should lube your X1. Like with any other light you should open the tailcap, clean carefully the threads with a rag and apply a thin layer of silicone grease (e.g. plumber's grease) over the threads and o-ring.

I would say that with an X1 that should be enough to preserve the o-ring and have it last a long time. You could also use products that cost more than the light itself, but......

Ten hours from these lovely lights make these great gifts. They come with green and blue LEDs, too, which make me want to get all the colors. Everything Inova builds they build well.

Last time the lights went out, I used mine to continue reading a submarine novel I was engrossed with. I've got a blue one I love, too.

I spray a little silicone on a rag and clean and lube the entire flashlight with it.
