Hi Everyone!

Hope you can advise me on my requirements. I need the following:

1. LED (SSC or CREE)
2. Pocket size (less then 10cm in length)
3. Be able to partially depress switch to turn on light without having to "Click"
4. Can be Single mode
5. Price not issue.

Open to custom lights if anyone has one out there!

Many Thanks
Mick

You can use the "play" in the threads of a twistie JetBeam CL-E to give you momentary capability. In fact, this seems to be a good way to change modes, since you must be quick. Essentially the same light is available from Deal Extreme, as the Dexlight, for $23.

Where are my manners? Welcome to CPF, Letomax.

It does not seem to be a multi-mode light. The rating is probably the maximum output at the emitter.

Or a Maxlite extreme for lots of output.

Welcome to CPF!

No, that means the best of the best emitters of the best bin that could somehow get into that light would put out 80 Lumens at the highest tolerance of the drive level with the strongest battery, no reflector losses, and no lens losses.
Translation: expect 50-60 actual lumens out the front. And that is a guess too.

Fixed my link. I think.
Many thanks!! The description says "up to 80 lumens". Is this a multi-mode light?
