Surefire M2 bezel confusion..

the last is the shock isolated one (in other words, the current one), at least to my limited knowledge thats how it is.

Both M2's you posted have the integral shock-isolation system.

The one with the fluted bezel is the most current production. I do not know if the flutes are other than cosmetic. I suppose there is some reduction in bulk.

Buy either one if you want an M2. You might find a better price on the older style or even pick up a pristine used example.

The current version (with flutes) replaced the old version (with fins) following a diet to reduce its mass. SureFire put it's M95 WeaponLight on a diet following feedback from Military users.
As a result the "M2" bezel has been reduced by 1oz and the MH90 Millennium Series Universal Housing body reduced by 5oz.

Regarding the flutes - SureFire went through a fins phase of styling. Currently its fluting.
