L1 tailcap on L4?

I am thinking about picking up a SF L1 when they come out with the new Cree lights. I was wondering if its possible to put the L1 two stage tail cap on an L4. Would it make the L4 into a two stage light, kind of like an L2?

Sorry, won't work. Threads are different. You can solder a resistor in the standard Z57 tailcap and get two-stage operation. However, it will become twist on/off with click high/low.
