Best way to get protective "film" off of LS-3 lens?

My LS-3 seems to have a protective film on the lens. I would very much like to take the film off but am afraid of damaging the lens underneath.

Any suggestions?

Any of the other LS-3 owners notice this?

Thank you for any assistance that you can offer!

Hi Lux. I used a can of spray-air (Endust) Just point the spout to concentrate the gas near the edge of the lens and give it a shot or two. Protective coating lifts right off.

A fingernail NEAR the edge will lift it off the lens, allowing you to remove it, without ever touching the lens.

The "MK 1 A1 finger nail" did the trick!

I got it to curl a little then zapped it with some Endust Electronics and pealed it right off.

I think that the beam looks nicer (and I don't have to look at the air bubbles that were underneath the "plastic" protector - a big improvement)
