Apparently the light has a 55mm overall diameter (from the dimensions posted on the website), about the same size as a mag head. That means this could be a potential host for a 52mm aspheric lens, which would really make this a throw monster -- this cut-down maglite uses that lens, and a Cree, and throws 75,000 lux @ 1m!

By chance does anyone have this 4081 Projection flashlight? I'm looking for an inexpensive CR123A 3.0v thrower, won't be using rechargeables, just primaries. I was comparing this to the VB-16, which I think takes 3v CR123As also.

Actually, does anyone also know how the 4081 and VB-16 compares in throw to a Maglite 3D with a modded Hotlips w/ TWOJ. That is about the best thrower I have in my lineup.
