Those are awesome! I've been thinking about machining my own bodies out of aluminum, but I never thought of wood. Those looks stellar!

How did you keep the lacquer off the aluminum?
You should build a wood boat with that craftsmanship!

I cover the aluminum with tape prior to attaching the wood. the glue is very difficult to remove.
