Lumapower M3 with Turbo Head,(review)? Maxlite Extreme?

Or put a Cree optic in one of the cheap 1AA lights from DX, the Elly works fine with the optic and makes for a nice throwy light.

Try the gerber FIRECRACKER. It's cheap and available, and you will like the tight beam made by its optic.
Agree w/ the M3 turbo. Only downside is that it's probably the largest of all the AA setups.
Anything w/ a Cree and smooth reflector will throw better than a Seoul and/or OP reflector. The wider and deeper the better but the tradeoff is a bigger light.
