Newbie question......

Hello all, I'm new here and I did go through the FAQ's and did not see an answer.

I need to know what I did right, or wrong.

My wife threw away several wore out yard lights. (the little solar/battery powered LED's, 1.5v) One battery.

Being the scrounge I am, I dug them out of the trash and removed the little LED's, wired three in parallel, soldered leads, glued together with JB weld and stuck in an old army 3v flashlight with two D cells.

Its now the best flashlight I have. Great white light and bright. I held the LED's while powered up and they did not get hot.

Will this work???????? Or will they fail without a circuit of somesort?

Regards,
Lee
