Any mods for a Streamlight 2L 3W?

I Have a Streamlight 2L 3watt luxeon. I would like to change it to a cree if possible, to get better output and runtime. Anyone have any experience with the 2L?

I would try a KLC8 LED or a SSC mod as it is easier to replace the existing LUX 3 LED. I have modded my LED Stingers with both of these LED's with supberb results!

SSC would be better probaly, since it will work beter with the stock reflector.

I posted in a different thread on modding with a Edison Opto. I personally think the Edison Opto can tolerate more abuse with voltage and thermal issues. I tried modding with SSC P4 in other lights and either they gave problems with thermal or voltage. If you try a SSC P4 let us know the results.
