Bespoke builds - How to do it ???

I want to do a project that requires a bespoke build.

I need an LED head the size of the Fenix P3D, a seperate battery pack and a tape switch.

This is to be for a rifle with the lamp unit att he very tip and the battery and the tape switch to be stock mounted.

What would be the best way to source parts and modify any if modification is required.

It maybe more sensible to take a well priced unit like the P3D and chop it ?

Can anyone suggest what components and can they actually build it as I have no equipment and I am a complete **** when it comes to DIY orientated projects ?
