These converters enable the MRV tailcap to be fitted with a standard McClickie switch - and provide lockout.

This sale is for the converter only - you must provide the McClickie and rubber boot - the MRV boot will
not work in this conversion.:)

Installation is easy ... just remove the standard MRV switch assembly using needle nose pliers if necessary, and
push out the boot.

Put the McClickie boot into the tailcap. It is not quite as snug a fit as the MRV boot but it will seal OK.
Press the McClickie into the back of the converter, and with needle nose pliers or similar, screw the assembly
into the tailcap - job done.

Re: FS .. MRV McClickie converters

Finally had time to install mine.
These make for a MUCH nicer MRV!!!

One thing I did not like was having to use a different button cover. The Mclicky rubber cap was a little too small, at least the 3 I had on hand were smaller.
When I tightened down (probably too hard:), but anyhow, one side of the rubber cover would "pop out" unless perfectly centered.

Also, I really liked the green glow in the dark button that came with the MRV.

So, I decided to use it anyhow and it works perfect!!!

To make the original cap work, remove it from the cap and turn it inside-out so you can get to the center of the cap with the "stand" sticking up.

Using a pair of dikes, wire cutters, dremel, etc, etc, cut it off and leave about 1/16" of the "stand", just to make sure you do not cut too low.
Try to make the cut straight.

After that, use sand paper and sand it until it is "almost" level to the rest of the cap.
Do not sand too far, leave just a little extra for added strengthin the center of the cap.

"If" your Mclicky does not work correctly, you will need to remove more of the center "stand", remember, you want it almost level. If too much is left, it may not work correctly.

Now I have a MRV with a Mclicky and my GITD cap:)

This is a perfect md for this light as I like to have momentary AND a clicky, whereas the original light only had the option of momentary or a reverse clicky, which I do not like.

Thanks Ganp for a cool mod!!!

Anyone with a MRV, I highly recommend this mod:)

Thanks, glad you like it.
The mod is perfect for the MRV!!
I never really used it at all until I dropped this mod into the mix, now it is a real "carry contender" :)
