What configurations are possible with the M4, other than the OEM/stock config? For example, does SureFire have a battery spacer that would allow 3-cell operation using an N2 lamp assembly in the OEM turbo-head?

I understand that you could put on the M3 Bezel. This would allow you to use a dummy battery and a P90 or P91.

In addition to the MN60 and MN61 that are specifed for the M4, you could also run the N62.

With one spacers you could not only use the N2 but you could use the 3-cell HOLA (I forget, but think it's MN16) this would be kind of silly though, because you'd get the same Lumens as with the MN60 but only 1/3 the run time.

You could run the KL2 with a dummy cell.

You cannot use the P** lamp assemblies with the M3. The M3 is reflectored. Since I do not own an M3 yet could someone please confirm?

Cheers.

I believe I read somewhere around the forum
M3 non-Turbo bezel + MN11 + M4 body running on 4 batts (12V)
apparently the MN11 did not blow and worked fine.

I personally have not tried it myself

one day I got to get myself a M4 /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/naughty.gif

Is the M4 bezel the same as the M6?

I am looking at them and they appear the same. The extra heat-sinking in the M6 pictures is in the M6 body, not the head.

that is correct. the misconception that the M3 uses the P90 and P91 probably arises from the M2 using the P60 and P61 lamps.

There is only one Shock Isolated TurboHead - The "Millennium" TurboHead.
It is used on the M3T, M4 & M6, M900AB, M500AB, M500B, MU97 & MU98. It is the TurboHead of the KT4 TurboHead Kit.

What can one do with the M4 if one has some parts kicking about?

1) Replace one SF123A with a Z20 Battery Spacer.
Use the three SF123As in the M4 body to run the MN15, MN16 or N2 Lamp Assemblies.

2) Replace one SF123A with a Z20 Battery Spacer -
Use the "Z46" Shock Isolated Bezel (from the M3 for example) and the three SF123As in the M4 body to power the MN10 or MN11 Lamp Assembly.

3) Replace two SF123As with Z20 Battery Spacers -
Power the N1 Lamp using two SF123As in the M4 body.

I do not know why you would want to do any of these three things. I would do them if I really needed light and I didn't have any M4 Lamps or enough SF123As available.

I hope this helps.
