Question about Proton runtime

Hi all,

I want to know what would give the proton the longest runtime:
a) Red led in minimum
b) Red led in 50% and slow strobe (using the 50% red mode)

Anyone can estimate which one will last longer maybe based on consumption?
If you also have an estimation of total runtime then even better!

Haven't had mine long enough to even run down the supplied battery. Just a guess, but I'd say the slow flash setting would last longer. I hope someone really knows. I'm curious too.

Hi FT, did you try the Red 50% mode? Turn it on on red but as soon as the LED turns on release the button, that will put the RED in 50% mode and you have all the red modes, strobes etc but in 50% of brightness.
The difference can be seen in Maximum when you quickly move the light you hardly notice the PM in 100% but it is seen in 50%.

For some reason I can't stop playing with the proton it ranks high in gameplay if there's such a thing to rank for flashlights

Hey luigi. I had not tried the 50% before reading your post. Actually, I'm sure I'd been there, just not intentionally. I'm still fiddling with the Proton regularly, too.
