Thanks !!

This defect is right out of the package...SF stuff is like a box of chocolates...:crackup:Nice CNC tool drag...Ooops

Two tiny dings on the bezel, from me, only one is visible:oops:

Otherwise the head has less than a hour run time.

So there you go, a perfectly dinged SF KL5...:nana:

I'd bet SF would replace the head because of that nasty, factory, tool drag mark:shrug:

Bombelman, what are you gonna do with that nice dinged KL5? Treat it kindly. This is, to me, is the best led light (head) that SF makes. I use mine almost daily for hunting for things in my nasty garage. Puts out enough light, not blinding, to see items laying around. If I was Harry Potter, I would put a hex on it so you couldn't open it.

Will it lower the price ?

Sorry for keeping you holding there, I got offered one too by PM as a package deal, and to be honest, both are VERY tempting....

"I would put a hex on it so you couldn't open it"
Bill, opening it up would be the first thing I would do to it...
After seeing the results of the KL4 Cree mod, such a KL5 head
deserves much better. I'm not saying the LuxV is bad at all,
but being able to run this head from a single cell on a more
efficient emitter would also mean more photons and more runtime, right ?

TB, I will be deciding soon ! It is a nice looking KL5 tho...
Cheers !!

Sure... Just give me a baseline $$$
I can destroy the driver, crack the window, add more dings and scuffs...Just let me know.

Ahhh...the old secret squirrel PM offer, gotta love those...:green:

I don't mind, I was looking for a reason to use that popcorn smilie anyway.:twothumbs

Excellent!

Sometimes you need to look at the menu just a tad longer, and this KL5 may not be the special of the day...

Take your time, it isn't going anywhere.

George, I run my KL5 on one 18650 in a TB body and get just under two hours of flat runtime (bounce with lightmeter). Good light output and that great full beam. I've got enough Cree and Seoul mods that put out a bright hotspot, nice to have a light (KL5) than spreads those lumens out in a nice wide beam that you can use close in without seeing spots, yet still has enough lux to see out there. And, the latest KL5's are using the best lux V emiters, no doubt WxxS's.

I think George is lost in the jungle again...
hehe, depends which jungle :)
Last weekend was a big weekend here in The Netherlands.
Saturday was the Summer Carnaval, the single biggest event in
The Netherlands, bringing almost 1.000.000 tourists to Rotterdam
alone. I do PA-audio installation on one of the Trailers and during
the Grand Parade I take pics too... Sunday we had an afterparty
where I also did PA. I only saw my home at 10m, monday morning,
not to wake up till midnight. :) It was an excellent weekend, I look
forward to next year !!!

TB, PM inbound !
