I have a luxeon led light that requires two CR123A batteries & has a Lumiled dropin that is 13/16" across/wide. This light also has a builtin heatsink. It also has a Hi/Lo click switch at the base of the body. I would like to install a new higher output, state of the art dropin but i am not familiar with what is available. Any assistance concerning the above would be appreciated.

Do you mind posting pictures? I haven't heard about this drop-in before. Can you tell me the manufacturer of the light as well?
Sounds more like you want to swap out the emitter rather than "drop in" a new module.
Do you want to desolder the existing LED and solder in a new emitter or do you want to buy a module that contains an assembled emitter with driver, lens and reflector to replace the existing head?
