Are the new Rebels a direct replacement for luxeons?

I have been wanting to upgrade my Streamlight 2L 3watt luxeon, but until now I have not seen anything that I could use without modding the reflector. Will the new rebel stars be a direct drop-in replacement for 3 watt Luxeon star?

If So can someone post a link where I can purchase a good quality Rebel Star?

No.......To use the Rebel one would have to modify the reflector.

I believe the one we are waiting for that will be a direct replacement for a Lux III is call the Gen X.

You wouldn't necessarily have to modify the reflector; you'd just have to make sure that the Rebel is at the reflector's focus.

:scowl: Dang, I am so wanting to mod my Luxeon but I'm afraid to try anything too difficult. I dont want to mess up a $70.00 light.
