If you are a little more flexible with what you're willing to pay, you may have a little better chance of getting one. Think of it in terms of paying for a guarantee to get the light you want. Sure you will most likely pay less if you buy direct from Don, but as you said, these lights tend to go quick and you can never be totally sure about when they will come up for sale. Just my $0.02...
