Your torches will come in handy doing your nightly inspection of the babe :). Congratulation and by the way, you are going to be very busy for the coming few years.

Beautiful babe and photos. I assume they are all natural light.

Aaah! Cute baby!

This'll be a heck of a story to tell him in front of his friends when he's a teenager: "When he was born, I posted pictures of him on an online forum for flashlight enthusiasts!" A one-two punch of "Aw, Dad!"-prompting embarassment. :D

Cherish these times, Mike.

Oh and Mike you need a much lower output light than that in you avatar when you re changing his diapers at night.

Take loads of baby pictures, especially in the first year.

Congrats! Enjoy every minute.

My oldest starts kindergarten this Friday. My wife has been crying off and on for weeks...

Take lots of pictures--you'll never regret it. Have studio pics made frequently also--again, you'll never regret it.

My daughter is 13 months old. We were at a family gathering this weekend and stayed in a hotel. She tends to writhe around a lot when changing diapers on a bed instead of a changing table, which we obviously didn't have in a hotel room. I gave her my HDS to occupy her. She stayed put and even managed to turn it on a few times. :D

And GhostReaction is right...low, low output mode is great for those crib checks...like the HDS has.

Thanks guys!

His mum had a rough time after the birth, so we were all in hospital for a week.

We are all back at home and mum is recovering perfectly now.

MY P2D came in very handy at the hospital and is doing good duty on the night feeds and changes.

I'm really digging being a dad.
It's more rewarding than I thought it would be.

I will start a college fund this week. Great idea.

Thanks for the advice and thanks again for the well wishes.

Congratulations! I am sure the other fathers here will agree that you would sacrifice every flashlight you own for that little one. They grow up quickly. Savor every moment.

My prayers go out for a speedy recovery for you wife.
