Hi ppl :)

A couple of months ago i bought a Aunoc AAA for my gf and she is very happy with it. But i am not :p
The led on it is very blueish and the beam profile is wider than what i expected (she uses it for patient examination).
So i was wondering if an emmiter swap would fix both these problems. I had a quick look at it and i don't see any easy way of dissassembling the light engine.
So does anyone have any experience in modding this light ? Also what kind of emmiter (that is compatible with the current light engine) would give me a more concentrated beam profile, since the Aunoc doesn't have any optics or even a reflector...

Thanks in advance
John

The upconverter and Nichia LED are epoxied together in the head.

I don't particularly like the Nichia "efficiency over color" priorities either.

I gave up on the Aunoc and got an LF2-SSC - it's a little gimicky but nice beam and color. I've had it for months but never programmed it - the default low and high are all I need.
But it doesn't come in stainless :)
