Call me imperceptive, but after swapping the Nuwai/Xenergy (which some have called the A2-killer?) incandescent bulb with the one from my Legend LX as suggested in another post, at first I was disappointed. The beam was quite splotchy and "donut-deformed". Then I tried twisting the head and -- the beam pattern tightened up into a nice, brighter-than-before spot.

I'm too lazy to swap it back again right now (it's 11:45 p.m. here) as this is the way I'm running the light, but does it also focus with the original bulb?

MrBulk:

Yes, the 606 does focus nicely down to a pretty good spot with the original bulb, but when you defocus it, the holes in the reflector for the led's begin to show up in the beam (really ugly).

How much brighter is the 606 with the Legend LX bulb? Might switch it out myself if it's significant.

I should have metered it first -- it is just slightly brighter (used a 9P w/HOLA for comparison) to the naked eye, so that means it should meter quite a bit more.
