Hello:)

Thanks to my friend Freddy (member Icarus), I got my "monkey-head", Aleph3.
Issues at the finish and later stripping went bad, but......the intrinsic values counts so I reanimated this head:grin2:

A SSC-P4, driven at 750mA by a BadBoy-driver, powered by 2xAA Eneloop-nimh's.
The runtime is one hour+.
The Body is a SF L4 with extension (thanks to Scott/"TranquilityBase") and Z52 Twisty-tailcap.
The light works too with the McE2s two-stage switch with several hours runtime on Low.

The output, specially the throw of this Monkey is great:thumbsup:

This is my Monkey:

Now some beamshots:)

I compared the Monkey with the Lumapower M1, due to about the same driving level.
Reflector size Monkey: 38mm, LP M1: 31mm

Both lights with fresh cells (2xAA Eneloop nimh and 1xLIR 18650), distance to the caravan 60m:

The tint isn't that great at the pictures but much warmer in natural.

Here a comparison between the Fenix P1D-CE on high (boost) and my Monkey, distance is 15m.

Remarkable is the great performance with 2xAA cells:rock:

I hope you had fun.:)

 ... Looks like I've met this guy before... :grin2:

Another nice mod!

Now you just have to mod the Z52 into a 2-stage.

Thank you very much Freddy and Cassian:bow:......

Indeed, the Aleph3 is one of the nicest lights out there. :twothumbs

I'm thinking.....how nice would be a 3 or 4-Led setup with these 38mm McR's.....a bit bulky on the other hand;)

Very best regards
