Why is the stated runtime on the 85P 30 minutes and the P1 1 hour and 45 minutes? Thanx
The
TOTAL runtime on the 85P is actually something like 4 hours, because it has many levels of brightness. After the first 30 mins on time, it goes down to 2nd level of brightness (which I believe is 45 Lumens), it will stay there for quite a while, before the regulation kicks in... and it will go down to the next level, and so on. I really like this regulation design because it lets you know how much juice you've got left, and obviously conserves power.
But with the Fenix P1DCE, after 1hr.... you're in complete darkness -

120P, it literally SMOKES the Fenix '145' Lu when it comes to spill and throw. :twothumbs
