It probably uses a star like this - http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.3393

So you'd need to buy a smaller star, or just buy the bare LED and replace it on the star. It's easier just to replace it attached on the star already. You could buy the Q5 star, then remove it from the star and put it into your light.

After having said that, it may not be a bad LED in your light. It could be a bad switch, a loose wire, a burned out circuit, etc. It's probably at least as likely to be one of those issues.

No, I don't know how to get inside the head of that light. What happened when the light stopped working though? Knowing how it stopped working may help in answering if it is the LED itself or something else.

Go here - http://support.dealextreme.com/ Fill out a support ticket and tell them what happened, hopefully they'll either replace the light or the head for you, especially since it's even advertised as being reverse-protected. Their support and response time is very good when using the support ticket, I think they'll take care of you. It could be either the LED or the circuit that is to blame.
