I know there's been quite a lot of adverse comment about the clip design on the new Novatacs - here's mine.

I've only had the light a few days and initially thought the clip was ok however I was going to clip it to my belt last night - was a bit clumsy (not unusual) - and didn't get it slotted on. The clip felt funny and when I looked it had bent out. I must have caught the tip on my belt edge. This never happend to me with the old EDC screwed on clip design. It looks to me that there is a weakness at the point where the clip meets the mounting 'loop' that can act as a fulcrum in the wrong circumstances.

So beware the clip!

JB

PS - the light itself is great :)

I agree, i would expect every clip to fail at that point, earlier or later. The highest leverage aplies there, together with the least material strength.

What i've seen of the clip, it looks like a poor choice for a nice light. I hope they improve upon it soon.
