I think it's pretty clear from the MP thread that Peter doesn't approve ;). He's going to choose the name himself.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I've put this on one of the back burners for a bit while focusing on other things. I have been staying up with the thread though and I am thinking about the various names.

Well, people keep making suggestions and he hasn't really lowered the boom on anyone, but he's made it pretty clear that the peanut gallery isn't going to choose the name.

I wouldn't be surprised if Peter just goes ahead and continues to call it the LS. Why not stay with the name many know and respect? So what if it's a different light. Keeping that designation will not matter a bit to new buyers, and those of us familiar with the old light will still be just as happy.
