Hey everyone,

I'm in process of making a limited run of some very special bodies
for the Fenix P3D. (with the generous help of PEU) The design process went
through perhaps two dozen versions...(also with the generous help of PEU)
They are now at the machine shop - so they are in the
final stages :) I'm really excited about this and couldn't wait to announce
these. Keep in mind these are not made by Fenix. These are 4seven's
parts :)

fenixcustom3x-15

fenixcustom3x-10

Most are run as 2x123's. There will be some 3x123's.
I only have some protos done with 4x123 but they won't be offered :)
Those pictures show 2x123 and 3x123. The 3x123 is about the
same size as the L2D! I have tested the buck circuit inside the P3D
up to 16v. :) The current draw at the battery goes down dramatically
as the V goes up. I would not go above 16v :)

NOTE!!! This is NOT a signup list so PLEASE don't say "Reserve one for me"
or "I'll take one." You can say that but there is no list :D

Most likely when they are enroute to me, I'll open up a pre-order in my
store.

Right now, I'm just looking for "I'm interested" and general feedback :)
Keep in mind they are being made already!

EDIT: new pictures added

I just ordered a P2D from your store (The newest one w/ the Rebel LED) with the hope that a P3D body would be available for it soon.

I would assume these bodies will work for them, and if so, I would definitely be interested in a 2 cell, maybe even a 3 cell version.

Thanks!!

Nope, only the P3D head will work with these bodies.

P2D is a boost circuit - you'll fry the converter with two cells.

They will be under $50 shipped. Due to the low quantity run, it's a bit more, not
unreasonable for a custom job, I think.
Will they enable us to use Surefire C compatible or we are stucked with the reverse clickie of Fenix.
These bodies are Fenix compatible only :D. Haven't you heard the news? "forward"
clicky switches are coming. They're already shipping with LxTv2's as a pilot
program. :D

I will definately be in for a 2x123 body !

I actually stuck a fat oring on my P3D, and covered it with heat shrink,
it is basically just like yours :) but ugly as hell. :p

Great work Peu and 4Sevens !

David had these at our get-together in Salt Lake a couple weeks ago, and I played with them a little bit.

The prototypes were AWESOME!

Great to see these going into limited production.

Great idea, David! Are there any plans to develop a tactical switch to go with the tactical bodies?

NICE,
I dont have a P3D yet, but this would probablly "force" me to get one.:)
I really "need" a few single AA versions (I really prefer the smaller sized fenix)
I have a bunch. Yea these lights are very slippery. O rings help but just dont cut it astheticly.
My 2c

I appreciate the info. What about doing the opposite? (Buying a P3D and adding a P2D body to it?)

Speaking of which, I recently ordered a P2D from your site and sent an email with questions on modifying my order (adding more products). I just wanted to let you know. Thanks!!
