Propoly is my favorite torch again!!!!

Thanks to Gryloc and others, the 4AA has become my favorite handheld again. I pretty much beat the crap out of my lights while hunting and fishing so I've always loved the form factor of the propoly but it's output has become inferior to the new breed of leds. I was gonna just buy some new lights but decided to give modding a try and I'm glad I did. I knew the propoly was not going to be that easy for my first mod but it was not that bad at all. I went with a DX SSC P4 U-bin bare emitter and the results are fantastic! I've got two propolys so I immediately compared this mod to the stock unit. Much brighter hotspot, much brighter spill, perfect tint and all the attributes of the stock unit. All this for $7.00 and a little modding fun!!!! Gonna get to work on the other one soon!!!

Also just P4'd the EOS and a Dorcy 3D. Someone stop me!!!!!!

Maybe now that luxeon rebel is out streamlight will upgrade it. I've been waiting for an upgrade forever and figured they didnt like crees. or something? I hate to hack mine apart though.
