Ultrafire CC3s

I recently got an Ultrafire C3, am very pleased with it.

Got some protected 14500s but they dont work in the C3, why?

How did you get them to fit inside the battery tube?

After taking the time to hollow out the tube of my c3 to accommodate AW's 14500 cells, I too was disappointed to find out that the light wouldn't turn on. The reason for this is because the 14500 cell is too long and doesn't allow for the battery tube to make a connection and complete the circuit. This can be fixed by placing a conductive washer or circular piece of copper wire in the tailcap in order to complete the circuit. However, any waterproofing that this light may have will be compromised.
