Lux V X-Bin search a new home

I search a large reflector with a good throw capability for a Lux V.
One possibility is the stock mag reflector,
the other is a SF Turbohead KTx

Which one would you select?

If you want the most throw, I'd go with the mag reflector.

I would use a KT... used to own the Arcmania 5w and used it in a KT2; very nice throw still with a very broad and useable sidespill. Smooth and creamy beam.

hmm..., a KT head is 2.5" and the Mag reflector is 2"
Is it really worth? (~100$ for KT)
Is there any guide on cpf about compability from head and host?

Well, I see you have bought a KT already.

It's might not be 'worth' to general users, but if you want a high quality light outputting very nice and useable beam, its definitely worth it. See if you can buy one of the DIY tower modules from AW.

I'm not sure if there is any guide, but basically the KT2 fits the C2, Z2, 6P and other lights of this type.

I will try to build a Tower but I don't know the right height for the Lux.

A body in Al with an exact hole for a Cu-bar might a solution for adjust the right height.

I'm thinking of a DIY 2 x 18650 Tube for the batteries.
No knurrling tools are for me available, so I have to think out a design who is not too slippery.

The driver would be a SOB 1000.
