Kody is my youngest grandson ... it is his birthday soon and now it is his turn for a custom torch.

This is the one ..

This is a 1 x 123 cell torch with a Luxlll driven with a Wizard converter, and has a nice vanilla tint. This LE was left over from a previous
project and needed to be modified to fit the small head.

The reflector is an IMS18 and there is a mineral glass lens.

Because this is a 'twisty' body and everything is bare alloy, including the LE, using just a spring in the base of the body was not an option
as the circuit was completed as soon as the body contacted the head.
Instead of the conventional spring there is a delrin isolator with a contact pin in the centre. This sits within a spring in the base of the body
and prevents battery contact until the spring is compressed by screwing the body further into the head.

Posing with some other small lights for size comparison.

Now it just needs a final polish, and hiding away until the big day.:grin2:

Thanks for looking :)

Colin.

Great design Colin...:twothumbs:bow:

The contact spring is a great idea...no battery rattle, and isolated contact, very:cool:

I'm sure Kody will love it:clap:
