Could you use 2 RCR 123 3.6v batteries that top off at 4.2v with the Aleph III? Also, How hot does it get? I've never had an Aleph before - does the two stage tailcap mean 2 different brightness levels? I imagine that the throw is "impressive". Can you give me some idea of the beam pattern and the run-time?

I just received a chrome Aleph 3, it BLAZES. If you are seriously considering buying this one, stop hesitating.....you WILL NOT regret it.

Crash...the light engine on the Aleph III uses a downboy 1000..
Here are the specs..

Basically it will work from 3v to 16v ...

You are correct about the 2 stage, it has 2 levels of brightness..

Im not sure of the runtime, I dont use it for long periods of time...

I'm really surprised that there were no takers on either of the other two. Am I the only guy on the forum who doesn't already have any Alephs?
