I'm trying to find an LED drop-in for my Surefire 9P. I'm not sure if the 6P drop-ins will work.

Any advice would be appreciated

Thank you

I'm assuming you mean Led here, try Malkoffs p60 drop-in, it also works in the 9p. I have 2, nice and bright, regulated, and warmer color than some of the others. Trouble is finding them in stock before they are scooped up.

+1 on the Malkoff M60 drop-in module. I have one in a custom light I built up using a Surefire M2 bezel, Leef 3xCR123/2x18500, LeefGrip, Surefire Z48 tailcap. I use "Titanium" brand CR123's from AmondoTech.com

The Malkoff mod has the nicest reflector of all of the drop-ins available by far. It has the whitest beam of any LED I have ever seen. If you are interested, I would send Gene Malkoff an email and ask him when he expects to have more M60 mods available. He is very responsive to emails: http://www.malkoffdevices.com/shop/..._id=18&zenid=830969d948315a388688f109e61cf7e6

As far as runtime goes, you should get just over 3 hours in a 9P.

Heres a pic of the light I am using the Malkoff in:

I'm pretty sure rechargable cr123s aren't going to be an option in a Malkoff'd 9P. You didn't say anything about rechargables, however, so I'm gonna guess that's not an issue.

If anyone has good news to report regarding the P60 Malkoff with 3 rechargables, I'd love to hear it.

This drop-in from Light Hound will work with your light
http://www.lighthound.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=2605
And so will this one from BugOutGear
http://www.bugoutgearusa.com/prcrdrmo.html
and this one also from BugOutGear
http://www.bugoutgearusa.com/cosoplcrmo.html

I don't have any of these so I can't comment on them but there was a quick review of the BOG Premium Plus a couple of months ago IIRC.

Also if you have an account with ebay & paypal do a search for Surefire cree and you'll get a lot of results. Pay attention to where the seller is though - Shipping from Hong Kong can take as long as two weeks sometimes longer.
And make sure that the seller says that the bulb will work with 3 batteries (9 volts) or you'll fry it.

I would say Surefire P60L if you're looking for lumens in the 80-65 range. (better runtime)

I bought 225 lumens leds from ebay, I hope to receive it soon. I will put that in Surefire 9P. I bought Surefire 6P and modified with 200 lumens leds. very bright, brighter then my Gladius.

I'm using the one from lighthound and have good luck from it so far. Good tint and plenty bright.
