As for tri-Cree lights, there's one at DX designed by a CPFer. Besides that, you'd probably have to make a custom Mag.

Several of the new Chinese lights, like the Lumapower MRV, Tiablo A8/A9, and others advertise 1A current.

CPFer Eprom has a thread either here in LED or over in Electronics/Batteries with the efficiency of the L2D's circuit. It may be inaccurate because of the equipment used, though.

You should probably change "mah" to "mA," as the former refers to battery capacity.

I've started to look into the tri cree lights and here's a couple options I've found:
- http://www.dealextreme.com/details.dx/sku.5971 -> just came out and currently no specs. I'm definitely interested for $47!!

- http://www.pts-flashlights.com/products/productList.aspx?uid=1-99-118 -> 3 (basically 2) different versions for pre order

- http://elektrolumens.com/FireLion/FireLion-III.html ...discussion here: https://www.candlepowerforums.com/threads/173893

Also, to get more people to look at your thread I would suggest a different title. You're asking 3 questions but the title refers vaguely to one.
