maybe he's trying to say he found something similiar but a little better using the same battery configuration. he may not necessarily be implying they are made by the same manufacturer and that it's the new upgraded line.
for example.

I think the Tiablo would kill the Fenix in throw. If I was a CIA agent and had to smuggle a flashlight in a body cavity, I would give up the throw and pick the Fenix....or maybe a mag solitare....
