I mapped out the amount of light output from the LS SE from their PDFs and it appears that the SEs would be putting most of their light forwards instead of a more 180 degrees dispersion flood from a Lambertian. Is there anything wrong with my interpretation? I thought that they are afterall, side emmitters. The light given off seem to be more of within a total of 60 degrees forwards?

????

I think you're looking at the lambertian chart. The SE chart shows most of the light output at +- 85 degrees (170 degrees). And in person, it does put out a circle of light from the side with little forward spill.

Thanks Lambda, I am looking at the correct chart, problem is my angles are all wrong, I start out 0 degrees from horizontal position instead of vertical. Ops. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif
