G2L --- E2L

I agree with the concensus on the G2L --- L4 thread but am wondering how the new 45 lumen E2L stacks up against the G2L. Form factor aside the G2L seems much more useful, at half the price, compared to my "old" 30 lumen E2L. How does the new E2L compare, and (again) aside from form factor what advantages does it have vs the G2L?

Well, it'll do nine hours (at least) full regulated brightness without any heat sinking problems, whereas the G2L will step down after a few minutes. That, and the beams look different because of the reflector vs. TIR, so personal preference will give one of the lights an advantage because of that.
