Can somebody confirm this:

6.12V case to ring contact
6.15V ring contact to center contact
0.12V case to center contact

Regardless of tailcap position, this values do not change(of course you can turn it off). I have no idea of A2 circuits, but it seems a bit goofy to me that I don't see any voltage changes.

Maybe it wasn't the bulb...

Thanks.

I am confused as to what you asking, but I know the switch is really a two part thing, half in the tail cap and half in the head. I am not sure how it works, but it does.

Hello FC.,

If you have a multimeter handy, can you measure the resistance of the bulb to see if it is really bad?

Hello FC.,

It sounds like you got a new bulb and now the A2 is working.

Your volt meter should allow you to measure resistance (ohms). To check a bulb just measure the resistance across the filiment by putting one lead on the side of the base of the bulb and the other lead on the center contact. If the meter reads "open circuit" the bulb is bad. If you get something other than open circuit, the bult is good. You can check your meter by holding the two leads together and see what your meter reads. The actual reading is not important. You are just checking to see if the filiment is broken.

Waiting for your picturs on the other thread.

Tom
