SF L1 Help

I have searched the archives and can't find an answer to the question:
IS THERE A SAFE WAY TO RUN RECHARGEABLES IN A SF L1?
I just bought the new version L1 Cree to use as my EDC. I'm extremely impressed and happy with the light but would really like to find a way of running rechargeables in it (and the L2 and E1L as well)?

I don't have an L1 but from what I've read on other threads, you can't use rechargeables in the L1. I sure hope I'm wrong and someone chimes in with a way to do it....because I'm thinking about a Milky modded L1.:thumbsup:

Been using an AW RCR123a in my L1 cree for a little now. It's a lot brighter when using a fully charged cell. It dips down slowly to the normal (like on a primary) brightness after a while. Whether the LED is getting destroyed... well no one knows yet, but I'm enjoying it anyway! :naughty:
