sorry laser module was purposely left low for safety and will not burn anything.

this was used as a star pointer around a lot of scouts. as you know boys can be pretty squirrelly. better safe than sorry. yes.. picture was taken with laser safety googles on.

this has got to be the coooolest laser pointer I've ever seen. uses 1x CR123 placed backwards.

Nice mod

My first Lux V tower module was built for me by kongfuchicken...Is there a kungfuchicken, and a kongfuchicken, on the board?

Good luck with the sale...:)

Is there any simple way to increase the output so it WILL burn things??? If this has the potential to be a balloon popper/match lighter with a minimal anount of work I might be interested.

have never measured output, but KFC stated output was aprox 25 milliwatts. definitely brighter than most green pointers.

due safety concerns, have never wanted to increase output further.

what makes this Surefire M2 laser mod is... how user friendly it is.
packaged within Surefire M2, it's always an attention getter.

25 milliwatt is just an estimate from KFC. my unofficial test for laser strength is to attempt to burn everything I can find. (with safety glasses on of course)

especially dark thin objects like black balloons. logic dictates if no damage occurs after prolong exposure. then odds are it's fairly safe when handled responsibly.

unfortunately most folks go the other direction. if it will not burn, then it's not powerful enough. (if it burns a balloon, think what it can do your eyeball :green:)

This is the most beautifully packaged green laser that I'm aware of.
Surefire LOTC works perfect controlling beam. don't want a clickie in this aplication. Lock out function insures Laser will not accidentally come on.

Can AW's RCR123s be used in this laser? If not, how about the LiFePO4 3.0v?

would not risk it... module was designed for 3V.
this mod has always used 1x Surefire CR123.

still on the original battery mod came with. so rechargeables is not a factor. the laser runs a long time on one CR123.

So does the clicky activate the laser or does it have to be used as a twisty?

LOTC or lock out tailcap, switch on by press button for momentary or twist to lock on.

very slick user interface! don't want a clickie for this application.

loads of interest, but no has purchased.

still available....
