I've owned my lightwave 3000 flashlight for about a year, and I rough it up and use it every single day. It's been submerged, dropped, kicked, frozen, thrown, lost, found... you name it, I've done it.

Here's the problem:

- The light level fluctuates. It's not noticable when you're just using it normally, but if you sit stil and shine it at a wall and watch the beam, you can see it dim and brighten slightly and fluctuate brightness slightly. I don't know if it's always done this, but recently it's made me consider giving it to a friend or shelving it and buying a surefire light.
Is this normal for the lightwaves, or do I have a dud?

thanks doods!

well, about buying the surefire lights...yes /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif and definately arc also, if you don't have any already! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

you might consider cleaning the contacts and threads. dirt and crap will add resistance and cause it to flicker.
