Newbie Help needed

Hi,

I've now owned a few LED flashlights and am totally converted to LED over incandesant.

I'd like to make my own bike light, and am thinking of using 2, possibly three of the following (or similar):

Is it simply a case of soldering the +ve wire to the spring/spring contact, and the -ve wire the the threaded section?

If this is the case, the idea will be to have two, or three connected in parallel, connected to a 7.2v or 8.4v rc car battery.

Do you think this would work to give a BRIGHT light (for cycling) with a decent runtime? The battery pack would be 3000mAh. What kind of runtime could I expect?

Is the runtime simply 3000/900 (which is what the circuit regulates to) = 3.3hrs with a single light, 1.5hrs with two etc?

Which if the following would be best/brightest for the above application?

I'd probably wire each light with an individual switch, but with a common connection to the battery. Maybe have one flood and one spot?

Sku 1343 appear brighter (according to lux figures) than Sku 4068, but are Cree generally considered better than SSC?

If I was to use the following with one of the above (reflector and all) would it increase throw for a spot, or ruin the beam?
