I was wondering if anyone would sell a head that would plug into one of fivemega's battery holders and connects to the universal battery charger that Alin10123 sold, I can't seem to find a link to any of those threads anymore. I think it's because of the transition to the marketplace stuff.

Is it the same plug that charges the FM85? If so, I have an extra you can have. Find out and let me know.

Radio Shack should also have that plug it's not uncommon.

I had the similar problem and FM told me the Radio Shack P/N 274-1569 is for the plug and 274-1563 is for the jacket (socket).

Yep, readily available at RS. IIRC, it was size "M". It's the one with a 5.5mm OD and a 2.1mm ID.

These are the part numbers Fivemega gave me, Radio Shack part # 274-1563 (female) and 274-1569 (male).

Well, the thing is that I'm at school right now and I don't have any tools here, so I can't really solder the thing to the wires, so I was wondering if someone had one already soldered or has the wires too and could solder it.

It came from FM with no wires.
PM me your mailing address and I will solder 2 wires on the plug and send it to you.
Let me know also the lenhth you want. You will have to strip the 4 ends pair them up correctly and tape them. Do you have tape?

I also cut several pieces of electrical tape and pasted them on the wax paper to keep it flat and easy to peel off and enclosed in the mail but later I thought I should have sent the heat shrink tube in stead.
 That was perfect! Also, thanks for taking care of him.

Well if you sent the heatshrink, you would have had to include a BIC lighter with an extra piece in case he overheated it.

But wait, are you saying you didn't bother to include the aligator clips that he will need to connect to the wires? OMG, how could you be so insensitive? :sssh::party:

Well, may be but I did NOT forget to put 5 stamps on the envelop.:D
The alligator clips wouldn't fit (they're from the jumper cables). :naughty::sick:

LOL! This was one of the funniest threads.

In case he doesn't reply, I'll be a surrogate host, and say "Yeah I got it, and it all works great! Thanks so much!!! "
