Hey guys, I looking to take my old GLIMT out of retirement and I was wondering how one would go about upgrading the emiter on this guy.

Seoul or Q5? Would one of the drop in modules from DX/Kai fit in the flashlight?

I believe that was one of the lights EngrPaul liked to mod with a Seoul P4. Do a search for his postings. If you don't find anything specifically about that particular light, you'll find a lot of good general info you can use.

Read post #17. It can be modded with a Seoul, but you have to find the correct resistor and run with a 17670 battery. The reflector is not designed correctly to use a Cree.

If you mod your GLIMT it has to be for reasons of wanting to experiment, using/modding it with different LED's.batteries,etc.
When I did mine there was not alot of different flashlights out there that had Cree, Seoul, or Edison Opto.
I modded mine as a direct drive, Edison Opto, part stippled reflector, bored it out to use a 18650 battery, and removed the anodizing.
I use mine as a EDC since I don't worry about messing it up. I hope I never lose it.
