I'd like to send out a huge "Thanks!" to everyone in this community. I've just completed 4 Mag mods, and I couldn't have done it without everyone's help, support and tutorials.
For myself, I bored out 2x 2D Mags, slipped in Modamag's 8AA>2D pack and am running 4 Cree Q5s through Wayne's Sharks. His Perfect XR19 sink rocks! I'm using an external potentiometer on one and running the other at about 800ma.
The other 2 were 3D Mags that I modded for my partners. I dropped in a DHS heatsink (great item, BTW) and am driving each single Cree off 3 D alks through a resistor. Since these are for non-flashies (hehe..I'm such a nerd), I figured they weren't going to worry about all the cool stuff.
I'm still waiting for a cool looking fire scene so I can get some beamshots for you all...

Erasmus: terrific job on the Q5 passaround! The tint on them is marvelous!
